Solar Installation Engineer

About the role

Power Ark LTD is seeking a Solar Installation Engineer to lead the design, installation, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic and battery storage systems for clients in Lagos. The role involves on‑site assessments, technical design, supervision of installation teams, and ensuring safe, compliant operation of solar solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and energy audits to determine customer power needs and recommend suitable solar solutions.
• Design and size solar power systems, selecting panels, inverters, batteries, cables and protection devices.
• Supervise and execute solar installations, testing and commissioning, ensuring safe wiring, proper earthing and compliance with electrical standards.
• Diagnose faults, perform repairs and preventive maintenance to keep systems operating efficiently.
• Prepare technical reports, installation records and train customers on safe operation and basic maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years proven experience with solar PV and battery storage system installations.
• Experience installing systems above 100 kWp PV capacity and 261 kWh battery storage capacity.
• Strong troubleshooting and commissioning abilities.
• Capability to supervise installation teams and deliver projects to specification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field (mandatory).
