Service Sales Engineer - Compressed Air Solutions

About the role

A Service Sales Engineer is needed to drive sales growth for the service business by combining technical expertise with an understanding of customer needs. The role is based in Nigeria and involves planning service sales activities, collaborating with the service aftermarket team and reporting on sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prioritise service sales activities and customer interactions to achieve business targets.
• Collaborate with the service aftermarket team to deliver exceptional after-sales service and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Analyse market trends and give management accurate information on pricing, competitive activity and regional issues.
• Prepare and propose service product offerings, calculate sales prices using the company's discount strategy and quoting tools, and quote customers.
• Monitor and report on service sales activities, keeping the CRM updated with customer visit reports, opportunities and quotation statuses.
• Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities that maximise customer relationships and business outcomes.

Required profile

• Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years' proven sales experience, ideally in engineering, technical products and services, capital goods or construction equipment.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with compressed air solutions.
• Team-oriented, reliable and result-oriented, with a commitment to quality, business profitability and ethical values.
• Ability to communicate, negotiate and persuade key stakeholders; willing to travel extensively and hold a driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office.
• Technical sales and negotiation skills.
