Senior Site Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Engineer to lead complex construction and development projects in Ikoyi, Lagos. The role bridges design intent, on‑site execution and commercial goals, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute multiple or complex projects from inception to handover.
• Develop project programmes, timelines and delivery strategies.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, ensuring alignment with on‑site work.
• Supervise engineers and site teams, enforce quality standards across all trades.
• Control project budgets, review variations, claims and contractor submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, regulators and internal stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings, reporting and governance frameworks.
• Use AutoCAD for drawing reviews and basic mark‑ups; employ project management tools for planning and reporting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with safety and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience delivering building and infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and risk‑management capabilities.
• Proven ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings.
• Experience coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
