Site Engineer – Construction Projects in Abuja

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Site Engineer to lead on‑site construction activities for our projects in Wuse 2, Abuja. The role involves ensuring that engineering work is executed accurately, safely and in line with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day‑to‑day site operations.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications and safety standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, subcontractors and other professionals on site.
• Manage site documentation, including reports, material usage, labour records and progress updates.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to technical workers and clients.
• Verify that all materials and workmanship meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and lead on‑site problem‑solving.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits to enforce compliance.
• Manage project timelines, budgeting and reporting.
• Liaise with local authorities for permits, inspections and approvals when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related field.
• 4–7 years proven experience as a site engineer or in a similar construction role.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods and safety regulations.
• Valid professional certification or licence is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and make decisions under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS Project or Revit.
• Hands‑on experience with surveying and measurement tools.
• Understanding of budgeting, resource allocation and quality control.
