Senior Portfolio Manager – Lead Investment Team

About the role

The Senior Portfolio Manager is accountable for a broad book of client investment portfolios, setting strategy, overseeing asset allocation and ensuring research quality, risk discipline and compliance across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach Portfolio Managers, approve investment recommendations, and manage performance reviews and training plans.
• Develop and maintain Strategic and Tactical Asset Allocation policies, monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks using risk‑adjusted metrics, and approve changes to trading strategy.
• Provide final sign‑off on financial models, valuation analyses and back‑testing of quantitative strategies, ensuring rigorous due‑diligence.
• Own aggregate VaR and Conditional VaR exposure, conduct stress‑testing, and ensure compliance with investment mandates and regulatory limits.
• Review and approve quarterly performance attribution reports and represent the firm’s investment strategy to clients and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of experience in portfolio management, asset management or investment banking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or related field; Master’s degree or CFA Charter required.

Required skills

• Financial modeling and valuation spreadsheet expertise.
• Back‑testing of quantitative investment strategies.
• Quantitative analysis and factor‑exposure assessment.
• Risk metrics implementation (VaR, Conditional VaR, Sharpe, Sortino, Information Ratio).
• Transaction‑cost analysis (TCA) and implementation short‑fall monitoring.
