About the role
The Right‑Fit Evidence (RFE) Unit at IPA is looking for a Senior Manager to lead the strategic delivery of a multi‑country project that scales effective education interventions. The role sits on the RFE management team, reports to a Director and oversees a small team of Advisors.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for implementers, funders and government agencies, managing multiple project teams to deliver tailored evidence, learning and M&E solutions.
- Lead the design, content and delivery of the multi‑partner, multi‑country FCDO SCALE project, acting as the project‑management hub for the bilateral funder and internal team.
- Provide technical leadership for right‑fit MEL activities, addressing evidence gaps and informing scaling decisions.
- Oversee MEL and research activities carried out by IPA country offices and external partners.
- Manage project finances to ensure high‑quality outputs are delivered on or under budget.
- Contribute to new‑business development, proposal coordination and stakeholder engagement.
- Support RFE thought‑leadership, manage the performance and development of 2–3 Advisors, and drive internal management improvements.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in international development, education, public policy or a related field.
- Significant experience managing multi‑country education or development projects.
- Proven track record in monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) design and implementation.
- Experience overseeing research, budgeting and staff performance.
