About the role
The Senior Finance Associate (Data) supports UNICEF Nigeria’s Health Section in delivering finance services for child survival programmes. Working under the Finance Manager and the Polio Team Lead, the associate ensures financial operations are accurate, timely and compliant with UNICEF rules.
Key responsibilities
- Perform specialized finance tasks and ensure delivery of financial services in line with UNICEF regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, process transactions and support month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
- Research, analyse and evaluate irregular financial cases and propose corrective actions.
- Recommend improvements to finance processes and documentation.
- Collaborate with the Polio Team and other programme units to align financial reporting with project objectives.
Required profile
- Experience in finance functions, preferably within an international or humanitarian context.
- Ability to work under direct supervision while demonstrating initiative and analytical thinking.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance with financial rules.
