Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS)

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will design, build, automate and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure that enables engineering teams to deliver software quickly and reliably. You will collaborate closely with software engineers to implement Infrastructure as Code, improve CI/CD pipelines, strengthen security, enhance observability and ensure high platform availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build, optimize and maintain Kubernetes clusters (AWS EKS).
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployments using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Manage containerised workloads with Docker and Kubernetes and implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD.
• Design monitoring, logging and alerting solutions with Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry.
• Improve system reliability, availability and disaster‑recovery processes while optimising cloud costs.
• Implement cloud security best practices and automate provisioning and operational workflows.
• Perform infrastructure troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and incident response.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to increase deployment velocity and developer experience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Platform Engineering.
• Experience working in fintech, AI or other highly regulated environments.

Required skills

• AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Terraform.
• Python (and Bash) for automation scripting.
• CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins.
• Monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• Infrastructure as Code and GitOps concepts, Helm, ArgoCD.
• Cloud security tools and practices, including Trivy or Falco.
