Senior Associate, Accounting

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Associate in Accounting to join our Lagos office. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance, and supporting audit activities. You will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports.
• Perform account reconciliations for bank, receivables, payables and general ledger.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare tax computations and statutory returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, Companies Income Tax).
• Support statutory audits and liaise with auditors and stakeholders.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend adjustments.
• Monitor client accounting records and provide guidance on reporting matters.
• Supervise and review work of junior accounting staff as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or ACA is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities.
