Sales Representative

About the role

The Sales Representative will drive growth for VTS Advisory Limited by acquiring new customers and expanding business within the assigned territory in Ekiti. This field‑based role involves visiting retailers, wholesalers and other outlets, promoting products, and ensuring timely delivery and service.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities in the assigned area.
• Visit retailers, wholesalers, shops, supermarkets and other potential customers to promote company products.
• Sell and distribute products directly to customers where required and achieve daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
• Take customer orders, ensure proper product display, and manage timely delivery.
• Load, unload and account for products carried on the sales van.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, returns and customer payments.
• Monitor competitor activities, market prices and emerging sales opportunities.
• Provide regular reports on sales activities, market feedback and customer issues.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate unresolved issues.
• Ensure the assigned vehicle and company products are properly maintained.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/OND or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in field sales, van sales, FMCG, distribution or retail sales is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence for van‑sales duties.
• Good knowledge of Ado‑Ekiti and surrounding areas in Ekiti State.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship abilities.
• Energetic, honest, reliable, physically fit and target‑driven.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Basic ability to use a smartphone for communication and sales reporting.
