Sales Executive - Plastic Products

About the role

Ascentech is hiring a Sales Executive in Lagos to drive sales growth and achieve assigned sales targets within designated areas. The role covers acquiring new customers, maintaining existing ones and expanding the distribution network of the company's plastic products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new customers, including distributors, wholesalers, retailers and industrial buyers.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to generate repeat business.
• Conduct regular field visits to find new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
• Promote the company's plastic products, negotiate sales and follow up on orders and deliveries.
• Monitor competitor activity, market trends, pricing and customer demand.
• Manage customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments in line with company policy.
• Work with production, logistics and accounts teams to ensure timely order fulfilment.
• Prepare regular sales reports, customer updates and market intelligence reports.
• Identify opportunities to expand the distribution network and market share.

Required profile

• OND, HND or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2-5 years of sales experience in the plastic manufacturing industry.
• Experience selling plastic products such as containers, packaging materials, household plastics or raw materials is an advantage.
• Proven ability to acquire customers, manage distributors and achieve sales targets.
• Good knowledge of the Lagos market and willingness to travel across assigned locations.

Required skills

• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage customer accounts and deliver results.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and sales reporting tools is an advantage.
