Retail Sales Associate

About the role

Scalein is hiring a full-time Retail Sales Associate in Lagos within its fashion business. The role covers welcoming customers, selling products, keeping the store visually appealing and maintaining good relations with customers.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers warmly, follow up on sales leads and close them
• Merchandise the store according to the Alara brand guidelines and maintain high visual merchandising standards
• Describe product features and benefits accurately and meet customers' needs
• Manage point-of-sale processes, determine bills including total price and tax, and reconcile sales records with the Accountant and Inventory teams
• Upsell and cross-sell products, and keep an updated record of customer data
• Perform opening and closing procedures daily, keep the shop floor clean and tidy, and prepare inventory and orders
• Prepare reports and correspondence, and carry out other assigned tasks

Required profile

• BSc. / HND in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
• At least 2 years' experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of consumer spending trends and buying patterns
• Passion for fashion, design, art and culture; organized, detail-oriented, professional and friendly

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of the store's products
• Standard knowledge of sales software and good data entry skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and ability to prepare reports and correspondence
• Time management, multitasking, organization, negotiation and analytical skills
