Reliability Engineer (Oil & Gas Production)

About the role

We are seeking a Reliability Engineer to enhance the sustainability and availability of our oil and gas production facilities. The role focuses on identifying and resolving reliability and mechanical‑integrity constraints to ensure optimal asset performance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess facility reliability issues and analyse historical maintenance and failure data.
• Evaluate mechanical integrity of pipelines, flowlines, and production equipment, identifying corrosion‑related risks.
• Conduct root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA) for critical equipment and propose corrective actions.
• Support production optimisation by collaborating with process engineers to remove reliability‑driven bottlenecks.
• Provide engineering input for design solutions, develop specifications, datasheets and technical evaluations.
• Perform field inspections, generate site visit reports and contribute to feasibility assessments.
• Identify equipment‑failure risks, ensure compliance with API, ASME and company standards, and support HAZOP/HAZAN reviews.
• Document reliability issues, maintain an opportunity register and support performance tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in reliability or mechanical‑integrity engineering within oil & gas production facilities.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or API 510/570/653 are an advantage.

Required skills

• Reliability assessment and data analysis.
• Root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA).
• Mechanical integrity and corrosion risk evaluation.
• Knowledge of API (510, 570, 653) and ASME standards.
• HAZOP and HAZAN safety review participation.
• Rotating equipment reliability (compressors, pumps).
• Engineering design input, specification and datasheet development.
