Regional Sales Manager

About the role

The Regional Sales Manager will lead the sales effort for Life Flour across multiple states, driving growth and expanding market share. You will oversee a team of field sales executives, build strategic distributor relationships, and ensure alignment with pricing and trade initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve sustainable growth.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate a multi‑state sales team.
• Maintain strategic relationships with top‑volume distributors, bakeries and trade partners.
• Collaborate with Technical Service to improve bakery efficiency and reduce costs.
• Analyse sales reports, stock movement and baking costs to guide execution.
• Align sales activities with pricing strategy, channel incentives and trade marketing.
• Forecast demand and work with supply chain on inventory planning.
• Monitor competitor activity and propose tactical responses.
• Conduct performance reviews and drive corrective action plans.
• Manage regional credit exposure and collections within limits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or related field (MBA preferred).
• 7‑10 years FMCG/Flour sales experience, with at least 5 years in a regional or multi‑territory leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of flour distribution, bakery operations and Nigerian retail/wholesale structure.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and data interpretation abilities.
• Excellent leadership, planning and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across regions and adapt to market conditions.
• Age not exceeding 45 years.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Advanced Excel skills.
