Receptionist

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Ikeja serves as the welcoming first point of contact for visitors, callers, and scholarship beneficiaries. Day‑to‑day tasks include answering and directing phone calls, greeting and registering visitors, and managing front‑desk inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and direct phone calls, providing clear information.
• Greet and register visitors, maintaining accurate visitor logs.
• Manage front‑desk inquiries and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure timely information flow.
• Provide courteous customer service to students, partners and scholarship beneficiaries.
• Uphold JAASF’s values in all daily interactions.

Required profile

• Strong reception and clerical skills, including managing front‑desk operations and maintaining accurate records.
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for answering calls professionally.
• Proven customer service capabilities with a respectful, patient and solution‑focused approach.
• Basic computer proficiency (email, word processing, spreadsheets) and ability to learn new office software.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a front‑desk, receptionist or administrative support role, preferably in non‑profit or educational settings.
• Minimum educational requirement of a B.Sc. degree.
