Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Copen Group is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its real‑estate development team in Abuja. You will be responsible for managing costs throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to final account settlement.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare feasibility studies, budget estimates and detailed cost plans for new developments.
• Standardise and produce Bills of Quantities (BOQ), tender documents and material schedules.
• Evaluate contractor and subcontractor tenders and support contract negotiations.
• Conduct site visits, measure completed work and certify contractor payments.
• Track project expenditure, manage variations and control costs during construction.
• Settle final accounts and produce comprehensive financial reports.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Quantity Surveying.
• 4–6 years of field experience with a real‑estate developer or main construction contractor.
• Professional registration with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) and QSRBN preferred.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
• Strong negotiation, numerical and analytical abilities, with knowledge of Nigerian construction laws and material costs.
