About the role
The Quality Control Officer will ensure that all raw materials, in‑process batches and finished products meet Canvest Nigeria Limited’s strict quality specifications. Working closely with production and regulatory teams, the officer safeguards product integrity and supports continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect and test incoming raw materials and packaging against specifications and record results.
- Perform in‑process quality checks (fill weight, moisture, blend consistency, seal integrity, coding) at required frequencies.
- Test finished goods against product specifications before release and recommend release, hold, or rejection.
- Maintain QC logbooks, batch test records, analysis results and calibration registers.
- Manage retention samples, including labeling, storage and disposal.
- Log non‑conformances and customer complaints, conduct initial investigations and report findings.
- Carry out hygiene, cleaning, sanitation and pest‑control checks.
- Monitor critical control points, effluent treatment, disposal and support regulatory liaison.
- Submit daily, weekly and monthly quality reports to the Production Manager.
Required profile
- Minimum of a degree in a related scientific or engineering field.
- At least 2 years of experience in quality control or assurance within a manufacturing environment.
