Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to lead both manual and automated testing for our fintech platform that bridges cryptocurrency and fiat currencies across Africa. The role involves designing scalable QA processes, collaborating closely with developers, and ensuring reliable, secure user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and regression suites for web and mobile applications.
• Lead manual and automated testing across multiple environments, including payments, authentication, and transaction flows.
• Identify, document, and drive resolution of bugs in partnership with engineering and product teams.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior QA members and continuously evolve QA processes to align with agile practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on QA or software testing experience, preferably in fintech or high‑growth SaaS environments.
• Proven expertise in end‑to‑end, regression, API, UI, and performance testing.
• Strong ability to write clear test documentation, bug reports, and acceptance criteria.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to influence quality across teams.
