Python Developer (Apprentice)

About the role

Bincom Dev Center, a provider of tech education and talent development solutions, runs a Tech Apprenticeship Program offering on-the-job training and mentorship for aspiring IT professionals. As a Python Developer apprentice, you will work on real-world Python projects under the guidance of experienced developers.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in developing and maintaining Python-based applications, including web applications, scripts and data analysis tools.
• Help design, develop and test software solutions using Python and related technologies.
• Write well-documented, efficient and maintainable Python code.
• Collaborate with developers, designers and stakeholders on software projects.
• Keep up with Python libraries, frameworks and best practices (e.g. Django, Flask, Pandas, NumPy).
• Research new technologies and take part in internal training sessions and workshops.
• Run unit tests and integration tests, identify and report bugs, and help debug and troubleshoot applications.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor, such as research, documentation and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Python fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming).
• Basic understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work independently and in a team.
• Passion for learning and a strong work ethic.

Required skills

• Experience with Python frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Experience with databases (e.g. SQL, NoSQL).
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
