Project Executive

About the role

SmartCity PLC is seeking a proactive and organised Project Executive to coordinate and monitor projects across its real estate and technology operations in Lagos. The role involves supporting project planning, execution, and stakeholder management to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, consultants, vendors and external stakeholders, facilitating meetings and tracking action items.
• Support budget preparation, monitor expenditures, track resource utilisation and flag potential cost overruns.
• Oversee construction activities, contractor performance and site progress, escalating delays or technical issues.
• Manage software implementations, digital platforms and process‑automation projects, tracking development, testing and deployment phases.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, prepare progress reports and ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Estate Management, Building Technology, Business Administration or related field.
• 8–11 years of experience in project management, coordination or delivery, preferably in real estate, construction or infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from planning through execution and completion.
• Relevant certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or CAPM is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with project management tools like Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana or Jira.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
