Programme Manager

About the role

The Programme Manager will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of health‑focused programmes and events for the Sickle Cell Hope Alive Foundation. This role combines project administration, stakeholder engagement and research support to drive impact for people living with sickle cell disease.

Key responsibilities

• Organise outreach activities, workshops and meetings, preparing schedules, agendas, invitations and logistics.
• Draft minutes, activity reports and action trackers; follow up on agreed actions and deadlines.
• Maintain physical and electronic programme records, beneficiary databases and partner registers while ensuring data confidentiality.
• Prepare periodic programme, management and impact reports for internal and external audiences.
• Engage with hospitals, government agencies and partner organisations; conduct approved site visits and support enrolment of PLWSCD.
• Support research activities, conduct literature searches and assist in preparing concept notes and funding applications.
• Identify grant opportunities, maintain a grant tracker and contribute to donor prospecting.
• Monitor the foundation’s website and social media, respond to public enquiries and assist with programme communications.
• Supervise volunteers, interns or support staff as required.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in public health, health/biological sciences, social sciences, development studies, business administration, project management, communications or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant experience in programme management, administration, healthcare, research, community development or non‑profit work.
• Experience with NGOs, healthcare organisations or research institutions is an advantage.
• Strong writing, documentation and record‑management abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
