Product Support Sales Representative – Marine

About the role

The Product Support Sales Representative (Marine) will drive sales of parts, units and service solutions for marine and oil‑&‑gas customers in the Port Harcourt region. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, building customer relationships and delivering timely product support programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Visit existing and prospective customers to prospect parts, unit sales and service opportunities.
• Sell and implement product support programmes such as CTS, REMAN and SOS.
• Ensure prompt delivery of parts and services, manage invoicing and encourage early payment.
• Prepare weekly call plans, update customer profiles and produce summary reports.
• Disseminate product and service information from Caterpillar and related suppliers.
• Resolve customer complaints to maintain goodwill.
• Participate in regional debt‑collection activities.
• Monitor competitive activities and identify sales opportunities for parts, units and services.
• Execute marketing and promotional programmes as required.
• Safeguard company assets and manage financial aspects of the role.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Automobile, Agricultural or Marine Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of product or product‑support sales experience in marine, oil & gas or a related industry.
• Hands‑on experience in engine maintenance and repairs (desired).
• Valid driving licence.
