About the role
The Procurement / Store Officer is responsible for managing the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials and finished goods, ensuring they meet laboratory specifications and are fit for use. This role supports the smooth operation of the warehouse by maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating outbound dispatches.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and finished products.
- Verify that stock complies with laboratory specifications and is suitable for use.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile stock discrepancies.
- Apply FIFO/FEFO principles to ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory.
- Generate basic warehouse and inventory reports for management review.
- Issue stock to relevant departments with complete documentation.
- Monitor stock levels, promptly report stock‑out situations and any discrepancies.
- Prepare dispatch documentation and coordinate outbound logistics activities.
Required profile
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills for interaction with internal teams.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
Required skills
- Knowledge of FIFO and FEFO inventory management methods.
- Familiarity with warehouse documentation and reporting.
