Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage the end‑to‑end sourcing process for goods and services across multiple locations in Nigeria. The role involves preparing RFQs, evaluating bids, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery while supporting logistics and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs), select suppliers, manage tenders/bids and issue Purchase Orders.
• Conduct pre‑bid, price and cost‑benefit analyses and prepare related reports.
• Negotiate terms with freight forwarders, clearing agents and vendors to secure cost‑effective solutions.
• Track and expedite orders, monitor shipments, and coordinate with accounts for payment processing.
• Support admin/logistics units with receipt and delivery of goods and assist the team lead in meeting unit targets.

Required profile

• HND/BSc degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in construction, real estate, manufacturing, oil & gas, telecom or similar sectors.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain procedures, logistics and contract management.
• Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• ERP systems (e.g., SAP Ariba, GEP).
• Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
