Procurement Officer – Procurement & Contract Management

About the role

The Procurement Officer will join SORA Consults’ advisory team in Abuja to manage end‑to‑end procurement for donor‑funded and government projects. This full‑time, on‑site position supports clients in winning bids and delivering compliant projects.

Key responsibilities

• Source suppliers, prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and manage purchase orders for goods and services.
• Evaluate bids, conduct cost and quality comparisons, and support contract negotiations to ensure value for money.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, track deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with donor and government procurement frameworks.
• Contribute to project documentation, reporting and continuous improvement of procurement practices.

Required profile

• Strong procurement and purchasing expertise, especially in public sector or donor‑funded projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Experience with purchase order management and contract administration.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, with high attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
