Transport Operations Controller

About the role

The Fleet Controller oversees daily vehicle fleet operations, ensuring efficient haulage services for clients such as Nigerian Breweries and cold‑chain logistics customers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan routes, coordinate fleet activities and maintain records in systems like EDD, Instanta and I‑Manager.
• Monitor fuel consumption, benchmark productivity, manage operating costs and ensure trucks operate within speed and service limits.
• Ensure loading orders are met, update trip status in i‑Manager, and collect proof of delivery.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip briefings, toolbox meetings and enforce safety and PPE compliance.
• Liaise with clients, field officers and HSE department to resolve operational issues and report incidents.

Required profile

• BSc or HND in Science or Social Science (2:2 or lower credit) with logistics certifications (CLTD, CILT, CSCP).
• 2‑5 years of relevant supply‑chain, 3PL, fleet and driver management experience.
• Good knowledge of Nigeria’s road network and fleet‑management practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with fleet management software (EDD, Instanta, I‑Manager) and tracking platforms.
• Fuel monitoring and reporting, route planning and trip documentation.
