Procurement Officer

About the role

SORA Consults and Business Limited is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage end‑to‑end procurement processes for donor‑funded and government projects. The role is based on‑site in Gwarinpa, Abuja and works closely with the advisory team to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Source suppliers, prepare and issue requests for quotations (RFQs).
• Evaluate bids, conduct cost and quality comparisons, and recommend award decisions.
• Prepare and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain accurate procurement records.
• Support contract negotiation to achieve value for money and compliance with World Bank, AfDB, EU, and IsDB frameworks.
• Coordinate with internal project teams and external vendors to meet project timelines.
• Continuously improve procurement practices and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field (preferred).
• Experience in public sector, donor‑funded, or infrastructure projects in Nigeria is highly beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with procurement software or ERP systems.
