Process Engineer – Production Optimization

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer to support production optimization initiatives across oil and gas facilities. The role involves conducting process studies, identifying system constraints, and delivering engineering solutions that improve throughput, efficiency, and operability.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, validate, and analyze production and process data; conduct baseline studies to pinpoint losses and constraints.
• Develop, review, and update process simulation models; perform hydraulic and flow‑assurance analyses for pipelines and flowlines.
• Identify and implement opportunities to increase throughput; carry out debottlenecking studies on separators, compressors, heaters, and treating systems.
• Participate in site visits to validate field data, assess operational constraints, and produce technical reports.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, UFDs, line‑sizing calculations, equipment lists, and tie‑in schedules.
• Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, piping, and electrical teams; contribute to Basis of Design, HAZOP, and other engineering reviews.
• Support performance‑tracking frameworks, maintain capacity models, and provide regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in oil & gas process engineering, focusing on production optimization and process simulation.
• COREN registration or equivalent process‑engineering certification.

Required skills

• Process simulation tools: HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Pipe Phase.
• Hydraulic analysis and flow‑assurance studies.
• Process design and debottlenecking techniques.
• Knowledge of oil & gas production systems (separation, treating, compression, utilities).
• Familiarity with API, ASME, and related industry standards.
