Porter – Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Porter to join Alpha‑Plus Apartments 91 in Abuja. The role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensuring their belongings are handled with care throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, assist with luggage and provide information on hotel facilities and local attractions.
• Manage check‑in and check‑out processes, handling guest properties with utmost care.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of room availability, rates and promotions.
• Address guest inquiries, concerns and complaints professionally, seeking timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with management to escalate issues when necessary.
• Monitor security of guests and their belongings, following safety protocols and reporting incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a porter, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to exceptional guest service.
• Ability to remain calm and efficient in stressful situations.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel procedures and systems.
