Phone Business Manager - East Zone

About the role

The Phone Business Manager – East Zone is a senior sales professional responsible for driving Sun King’s B2C PayGo phone business across the East Zone of Nigeria. Reporting to the Country Business Manager, you will lead a regional team to grow the agent network, increase phone sales, and meet revenue and credit‑quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the national B2C PayGo phone strategy into an actionable East Zone plan with clear revenue, penetration and phone‑per‑agent targets.
• Manage, mentor and coach the East Zone phone team, including Area Phone Business Managers, to achieve performance KPIs.
• Recruit, engage and retain high‑performing phone‑selling agents across all five regions, ensuring robust field coverage.
• Implement programs to boost the percentage of agents actively selling PayGo phones and increase phones sold per agent.
• Own the end‑to‑end sales cycle, from agent recruitment to customer acquisition and repayment collection, working closely with Finance and Credit Risk teams.
• Monitor collection performance, enforce follow‑up procedures, and drive strategies to minimise arrears and defaults.
• Deliver channel profitability and operational excellence in line with the national channel plan.

Required profile

• Senior sales professional with proven ability to lead and develop regional sales teams.
• Strong understanding of B2C PayGo models and agent‑based distribution.
• Excellent analytical skills to track performance, repayments and risk patterns.
• Ability to build relationships with agents and drive motivation and productivity.
