Packaging Maintenance Planner

About the role

AB InBev’s Sagamu Brewery is seeking a Packaging Maintenance Planner to drive continuous improvement in plant reliability through TPM development and effective maintenance planning.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and manage routine maintenance schedules using the maintenance planning system, including cleaning, lubrication and inspection tasks.
• Allocate resources, create work orders, and communicate schedules to production, engineering and support teams.
• Verify completion of routine tasks, provide feedback on efficiency, and highlight non‑compliance.
• Manage maintenance systems, ensure data integrity, commission new system changes, and produce SAP‑based maintenance reports.
• Capture and analyse maintenance data to identify failure modes, root causes and trigger corrective actions.
• Lead planning meetings, prioritize ad‑hoc tasks, determine resource requirements and assign work.
• Support the maintenance team during planned periods, conduct post‑mortems and drive problem‑solving initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) with 3‑5 years production engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of brewing and packaging plant operations is an advantage.
• PC literate with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using SAP for maintenance reporting.
• Familiarity with maintenance planning software and TPM principles.
• Root‑cause analysis and data‑driven decision‑making.
