Operations Manager

About the role

Jd Marc is hiring a full-time Operations Manager based in Abuja, Nigeria. The role establishes and runs the day-to-day operations of the office, defines departmental responsibilities and reporting lines, and keeps work efficient and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement operational structures, policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Define departmental responsibilities, reporting lines and accountability systems.
• Coordinate daily office operations so tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
• Develop workflows and systems that improve productivity and streamline internal processes.
• Monitor staff performance, operational targets and compliance with company procedures.
• Coordinate administrative activities, resource allocation, procurement processes and operational documentation.
• Identify inefficiencies, resolve operational challenges and recommend improvements.
• Prepare regular operational reports and update management on performance and progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Management, Project Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in operations or management.
• Proven experience developing procedures, workflows, reporting systems and organisational structures.
• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or contracting is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate teams, manage competing priorities and enforce accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting tools.
