Operations & Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Ascentech is seeking an experienced Operations & Maintenance Engineer to manage CNG compressor packages at its facility in Arepo, Ogun State. The role focuses on ensuring maximum equipment uptime while adhering to strict safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNG compressor packages, monitoring pressure, temperature, oil levels, vibration and running hours.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on compressors, gas engines, motors, valves, piping, cooling and lubrication systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, PLC and control‑system faults and execute emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate operating logs, maintenance records and breakdown reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automobile Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNG compressor operation and maintenance, with at least 3 years on reciprocating compressors.
• Strong knowledge of gas engines, multistage compression, lubrication, cooling and pressure systems.
• Commitment to safety procedures such as PTW, LOTO and CNG safety protocols.
