Officer – Buyer

About the role

The Officer – Buyer will be responsible for identifying and procuring spares, materials, fuel and equipment needed to keep the transport unit of DPW Logistics Limited operating continuously.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives, technical requirements and budget constraints.
• Conduct market research, evaluate suppliers and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and timelines.
• Supervise end‑to‑end procurement processes, including requisition handling, purchase order creation, supplier evaluation and delivery coordination.
• Monitor supplier performance, manage risks and ensure compliance with procurement regulations and policies.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of procurement experience, preferably in a logistics or transport environment.
• Proven ability to work within budgetary constraints and manage stakeholder relationships at various levels.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements in procurement.
