Night Auditor

About the role

The Night Auditor will be the first point of contact for guests arriving during the overnight shift and will ensure accurate financial closing of the hotel’s daily operations. This full‑time position combines front‑desk service with accounting responsibilities to support the smooth running of the property.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile daily revenue, cash drawers and credit‑card batches, verifying room charges, taxes, dining and spa fees.
• Execute end‑of‑day procedures in the property management system and generate occupancy, revenue and statistical reports for management.
• Check‑in late‑night guests, issue room keys and process early‑morning check‑outs with final invoicing.
• Answer telephone enquiries, take reservations, schedule wake‑up calls and address guest complaints or concierge requests.
• Monitor surveillance cameras, control facility access and act as the on‑site authority during emergencies.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and communicate any urgent repairs.
• Provide a comprehensive handover to the morning shift, summarising all overnight activities.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification of HND or BSc.
• At least 2 years of experience in a night audit or similar front‑desk/accounting role.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software for financial posting and reporting.
