About the role
E-Hotels Transit Bnb Limited is hiring a full-time News Editor based in Lagos, Marina. The editor reviews news articles before they go out, checks their accuracy and keeps the editorial line consistent.
Key responsibilities
- Review, edit and proofread news articles before publication.
- Verify facts, names, dates, figures, quotes and other important information.
- Ensure news stories are accurate, balanced, clear and professionally written.
- Assign stories to journalists and monitor their progress.
- Review breaking news and make sure it is published on time.
- Develop and maintain editorial standards and guidelines.
- Give constructive feedback and guidance to journalists.
- Maintain consistency in tone, style and quality across published content.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of a Diploma.
- 1 year of previous experience in a similar role.
