Network Engineer - Offline Hospital Systems

About the role

Imani Health is looking for a skilled Network Engineer to support the deployment of its offline hospital system across partner hospitals and clinics. The role suits someone who understands hospital IT environments, local networking, offline-first systems, routers, switches, LAN setup, server connectivity, backups and secure access. It is a field-based, part-time or project-based position based in Abuja.

Key responsibilities

• Set up network infrastructure and configure servers and devices
• Ensure secure connectivity and access
• Troubleshoot and run performance tests
• Support staff and deploy systems on site at hospitals

Required profile

• Hands-on, detail-oriented, able to set up reliable offline infrastructure where internet may be unstable
• Able to visit a hospital, assess network needs, set up infrastructure, test it and support the hospital team during deployment
• Practical, reliable and comfortable working on site
• Ability to document network setups, configurations and troubleshooting steps

Required skills

• Strong LAN/WAN networking knowledge
• Configuring routers, switches, access points and firewalls
• IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, network security and basic server setup
• Troubleshooting hardware, connectivity and local network issues
• Advantage: experience setting up systems in hospitals, offices, schools or enterprises
• Preferred: Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, Cisco; Mac, Linux or Windows Server; backup systems, network printers, file sharing; healthcare data privacy awareness
