Network Administrator

About the role

The Network Administrator will ensure the organisation’s core and site‑level network infrastructure remains reliable, secure and performant across multiple locations. Reporting to the Technical Lead, IT & Innovation, you will work closely with the Security Operations Centre and Datacenter Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and maintain network devices, ensuring high uptime and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with the SOC to analyse CVEs, apply patches and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Deploy, configure, monitor and troubleshoot wireless Access Points for secure connectivity.
• Maintain IP Address Management (IPAM) records, allocate addresses and prevent conflicts.
• Design, configure and manage VLAN segmentation across switches and sites.
• Manage the network supporting CCTV/surveillance systems, ensuring reliable connectivity and secure access.
• Configure, monitor and maintain Sophos firewalls across multiple buildings, including rule sets, VPNs and security policies.
• Keep network diagrams, IP/VLAN registers and firewall documentation up to date and provide regular status reports.
• Investigate and resolve network incidents, escalating to the Technical Lead when necessary.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on network administration experience, preferably in multi‑site environments.
• Experience with Sophos firewall administration or equivalent enterprise firewalls.
• Strong understanding of VLANs, IP addressing and wireless networking.
