MEP Project Engineer

About the role

The MEP Project Engineer will lead the design, coordination and execution of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) projects for construction sites in Lagos. You will work from concept through to commissioning, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and modify MEP designs, working drawings, schematics and single‑line diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs), material take‑offs, specifications and project cost estimates.
• Coordinate MEP and energy projects from design through execution, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Supervise site installations, conduct inspections and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support procurement by reviewing technical specifications and material requirements.
• Prepare project reports, documentation and engineering records.
• Assist with preventive maintenance projects, power and energy audits and other engineering assignments.

Required profile

• Minimum HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of practical experience in MEP engineering or building services.
• Hands‑on experience in MEP design, BOQ preparation, estimation and site supervision.
• COREN registration or active registration towards COREN is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence is an advantage.
• Residence within or close to Ogudu, Lagos preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Ability to produce and interpret MEP drawings independently.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and energy systems.
• Experience with Revit MEP, DIALux or other MEP design software (advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
