Medical Students Volunteer

About the role

FutureVitals is seeking medical students to join its volunteer team in Lagos State, Nigeria. The role combines in‑person and remote activities aimed at advancing health equity through education, advocacy and community outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with health education campaigns and create or review learning materials.
• Participate in community outreach events and organize workshops.
• Contribute to advocacy initiatives and engage with local partners to promote preventive health.
• Provide basic research support, collect data for community projects, and give input on youth‑centered program design.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled as a medical student or a recent graduate with strong interest in public health.
• Clear communication skills for diverse audiences, both in‑person and online.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities to balance volunteer duties with academic commitments.
• Willingness to attend occasional in‑person meetings in Lagos and work remotely.
• Demonstrated commitment to community service or advocacy in healthcare.
• Collaborative mindset and respect for different backgrounds.
• Basic familiarity with digital tools such as email, document sharing and virtual meeting platforms.
