Quality Control Officer – Lagos

About the role

Shalina Healthcare, a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in sub‑Saharan Africa, is seeking a Quality Control Officer to join its Global Supply Organization in Lagos. The role involves performing analytical testing, ensuring compliance with cGLP/cGMP standards, and supporting product release activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of finished goods, raw materials, intermediates, stability, validation, water and hold‑time studies.
• Maintain and monitor cGLP and cGMP implementation according to current regulations.
• Sample and test incoming raw and packaging materials, and perform calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Prepare SOPs, protocols and reports for QC projects, and document OOS, OOT, deviations and change controls.
• Enter quality data and results into SAP, manage analytical data sheets and ensure laboratory housekeeping.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry or related life‑science discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience working in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory.

Required skills

• Quality control testing using analytical instruments (HPLC, UV, dissolution).
• Laboratory documentation and data integrity management.
• cGLP and cGMP compliance.
• SAP data entry and reporting.
• Investigation of OOS/OOT results.
