Medical Officer – Clinical Care (Lagos)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Medical Officer to join our multidisciplinary team at the Apapa Clinic in Lagos. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care, managing emergencies, and supporting preventive health programs.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide life‑saving interventions.
• Perform minor surgical procedures and assist in major surgeries as required.
• Conduct patient consultations, health assessments, and develop treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and concise medical records for every patient encounter.
• Coordinate investigations, treatments, and discharge processes under the guidance of senior consultants.
• Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide mentorship to junior staff, interns, and healthcare workers.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and shift rosters.

Required profile

• Medical degree with a valid license to practice in Nigeria.
• 3‑4 years of clinical experience, preferably in emergency or critical care.
• Strong diagnostic and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to stay updated on medical research and attend CME programs.
