Marketing Officer

About the role

The Marketing Officer will drive promotion of Kenex Konsults International’s catering services across Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State. Reporting to senior management, you will generate leads, secure bookings and build lasting client relationships to boost revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Promote catering services to individuals, organisations and event planners.
• Generate leads and secure bookings for corporate functions and events.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase engagement and sales.
• Conduct market research and monitor competitor activities.
• Create promotional content for social media and other channels.
• Attend networking events, exhibitions and promotional activities as required.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and client presentations.
• Coordinate with kitchen and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain customer records and provide regular marketing reports.
• Ensure excellent customer service and client satisfaction throughout engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Entry‑level experience (up to 2 years) in marketing, hospitality, catering or event services is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
• Good organisational and customer‑relationship management skills.
• Creative thinking and problem‑solving orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using social media platforms for marketing.
