Social Media Manager

About the role

Astra Prospects is looking for a proactive Social Media Manager to drive its education‑focused marketing across multiple platforms. You will create, publish, and optimise content that supports admissions cycles, scholarship deadlines, and student success stories.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, produce and publish three text‑and‑image posts daily on Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp.
• Create two video posts per week for TikTok and Reels, handling shooting and editing yourself.
• Design on‑brand graphics using Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Illustrator or Canva.
• Transform a single source (blog, interview, story) into multiple formats such as reels, carousels, X threads and LinkedIn posts.
• Maintain a content calendar aligned with admissions, loan, UCAS, Common App and scholarship timelines.
• Appear on camera for explainers, Q&A sessions, live streams and behind‑the‑scenes content.
• Engage with comments and DMs, moderate the on‑site community forum, and route enquiries to advisors.
• Track performance with Meta Business Suite, TikTok analytics and GA4, tagging every link with UTMs.
• Provide a weekly performance snapshot and adjust strategy accordingly.
• Grow and coordinate a small network of campus ambassadors and student creators.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on social media management for a brand or organisation.
• Demonstrable results with a live portfolio or account links.
• Strong attention to detail, especially regarding visa, scholarship and loan information.
