Marketing Manager

About the role

Scalein is hiring a full-time Marketing Manager in Lagos to work with the management team on crafting and executing marketing strategies for the organization. The role covers managing the marketing team, growing the brands Alara and Nok locally and internationally, and driving revenue through innovative campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the marketing team's operations and coordinate with the project manager on special projects such as launch parties, shopping soirees, trade shows and exhibitions
• Identify opportunities in local and international target markets and develop strategies to grow Alara and Nok
• Develop non-conventional strategies to increase revenue and generate promotion and campaign ideas
• Create weekly activations to drive traffic to the brand's website and promote collaborations with food, music and other creative outlets
• Source partners for projects and prepare marketing reports for management
• Build strategies to engage and retain customers and grow a new customer base
• Create and manage a marketing budget and train other departments on marketing knowledge
• Manage relationships with corporate media and the retail industry, and track ongoing activations
• Keep the ALARA brand at the forefront of digital innovation, give visual direction to internal and external collateral, and partner with creative services, retail and merchandising on promotions and product assortment

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Marketing, Business Management or another relevant field
• At least 5-7 years of marketing experience; professional certification is an added advantage
• Ability to make sound judgments, think critically, be detail-oriented and proactive
• Passion for disruption and interest in fashion, art and culture
• Willingness to use existing networks and connections

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of traditional and digital marketing and communications
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace
• Knowledge of marketing principles, best practices and procedures
• Ability to draw up monthly, quarterly and annual budgets
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational and project management skills
