Logistics Officer – Data Entry & Excel Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Officer to join the Logistics Department of a railway infrastructure project in Kano. The role focuses on accurate data entry, maintaining logistics records, preparing regular reports using Microsoft Excel, and supporting day‑to‑day administrative and documentation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Enter logistics, inventory, and material movement data accurately and promptly.
• Maintain and update logistics databases, registers, and spreadsheets daily.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics reports with Microsoft Excel.
• Record and monitor incoming and outgoing materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Verify the accuracy of logistics documents before system entry.
• Organise, file, and retrieve both electronic and hard‑copy logistics documents.
• Update inventory records and assist in monitoring stock movements.
• Reconcile logistics records and report discrepancies promptly.
• Support periodic inventory verification and stock reconciliation exercises.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of all logistics data.
• Perform other logistics and administrative duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.

Required profile

• Experienced Logistics Officer.
• Strong data entry abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
