Loan Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Loan Officer to join Diamond Shine in Abuja. The role involves sourcing new loan customers, assessing applications, and ensuring compliance with lending policies. You will work closely with both individual and SME clients to support their financing needs.

Key responsibilities

• Source and onboard new loan customers.
• Assess loan applications and perform credit analysis.
• Conduct customer due diligence and verify supporting documentation.
• Monitor loan portfolios to ensure timely repayments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with individual and SME clients.
• Ensure compliance with lending policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare periodic loan performance reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in lending, credit, or financial services.
• Experience with consumer and SME lending is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and customer relationship management abilities.
