Line Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Line Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining production line equipment in a healthcare manufacturing environment. The role ensures that all machinery operates safely and efficiently, supporting food safety and product quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct preventive and repair maintenance on production line equipment according to checklists and schedules to ensure food safety.
• Monitor equipment performance, document findings and recommend corrective actions through maintenance reports.
• Lubricate machinery as specified in lubrication charts and keep documentation up‑to‑date.
• Inspect and maintain safety sensors, reflectors and safety controls to ensure they are functional.
• Perform periodic maintenance on mechanical panels and related electrical components.
• Ensure machine frames, bolts, nuts and fittings remain rigid and correctly positioned.
• Correct reported faults and rectify operational malfunctions during shift operation to keep production on schedule.

Required profile

• Relevant Engineering Certificate or equivalent (OND/C&G Part II).
• Minimum 3 years experience in a technical, shop‑floor role within a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills and good command of spoken and written English.
• Experience with cost‑reduction initiatives and knowledge of manufacturing methodologies.
• Understanding of plant HQSE modalities and codes.
