Life Manager

About the role

The Bridge Consults is hiring a Life Manager in Ikoyi, Lagos, to lead sales activities, manage a team of Life Planners and drive customer satisfaction and business performance. The Life Manager develops and executes sales strategies, recruits and trains Life Planners, and ensures achievement of individual, branch and corporate sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business and individual targets.
• Prospect for new clients and sell the company's products and services.
• Recruit, train, supervise and motivate Life Planners; set sales targets and monitor team performance.
• Conduct field activities and sales presentations to individuals, groups, associations and corporate organisations.
• Support Life Planners' professional development, improving their selling skills and product knowledge.
• Manage team engagement, motivation, welfare and performance improvement.
• Communicate business updates, decisions and initiatives to team members and stakeholders.
• Build relationships with clients, broker partners, recruitment sources, pay points and corporate institutions.
• Drive quality sales, support policy retention and handle client complaints and inquiries.
• Track team performance daily and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports to the Branch Manager.
• Follow up on commission issues so Life Planners receive accurate, timely payments.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve business processes and customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 5 years of sales experience, including responsibility for managing teams to achieve business targets.
• Proven track record of excellent performance and good professional conduct.
• Ability to drive and a valid driver's licence.

Required skills

• Sales and business development, direct marketing and deal closure.
• Team leadership, recruitment and training, and customer relationship management.
• Good knowledge of ICT tools and their application in business results.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
