Lead HVAC Technician/Engineer – Daikin VRV/Chiller/AHU

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Daikin‑certified HVAC Lead Technician/Engineer to take full technical ownership of complex cooling systems across client sites in West Africa. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, you will lead a field team, ensure optimal performance of chillers, VRV/VRF units and air‑handling units, and drive preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair complex Daikin HVAC systems, including central chillers, VRV/VRF units and AHUs.
• Provide on‑site technical leadership to field technicians and supervise installation, commissioning, retrofits and system upgrades.
• Train and mentor junior engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and high service standards.
• Maintain system performance, uptime and energy efficiency through preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
• Interface confidently with clients and stakeholders, delivering professional reports and recommendations.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of HVAC experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong background working with Daikin equipment (mandatory).
• Proven ability to work under pressure across multiple sites in West Africa.
• Excellent communication skills and professional client interaction.
• Willingness to relocate to Lagos and travel throughout West Africa.
